My name is Mila and I am from Cusco, Peru. I grew up in the highlands, surrounded by the magnificent Andes. Every year, during the school holidays we travelled to Arequipa and on the way there, we admired the landscapes and the alpacas in their natural habitat. Those memories are fond to me.
Arequipa, has developed sustainable and eco-friendly Alpaca farming and shearing practices and has a large Alpaca wool textile industry.
Through the years I have witnessed the development and expansion of the alpacas grazing and breeding and I am proud it happened that way because alpaca wool is one of the finest fibres in the world and it comes from my homeland!
Motivated by this invaluable gift, I have founded Pure Alpaca Company based in Cornwall, England, to introduce to our customers the “fibre of Gods”, as we call the Alpaca wool in Peru.
I want to share my Peruvian heritage offering the highest quality of 100% sustainable Baby Alpaca wool products manufactured in my beloved Peru, the original heartland of the alpacas.
The purpose of Pure Alpaca Company is to support the Peruvian traditional culture and economy and bring the unique quality of craftmanship for our customers to appreciate.
